Our Policies

Help Spot Home was created to make it easier to make adoptable pets available to the public. We will make every effort to provide as much information as possible about the pets, but unfortunately, sometimes not much is known.  All animals are rescue and have been through a lot with humans who did not care for them.  They require a period of adjustment to feel secure.

Our pets are housed at animal shelters who may require a fee, but it includes spay/neuter and rabies shot.  Others are being fostered by some great locals.  In these cases, we ask for a donation to help with costs of vet care that we have provided.

All we ask is that if you adopt a pet, you are responsible and loving and want to spend time with your pet rather than just leave it in the yard alone, and that you provide appropiate medical care and preventative meds to keep your pet healthy. This usually includes vaccinations, heartworm prevention for dogs and flea preventative.  This way your pet will be feeling good and will respond favorably to your care and training.

We want our people and our pets to be happy, so if the pet you select doesn't work out we will make other arrangements. Time is running out for many of these pets, so if you can, and are willing, to try to help, at least we will learn more about the pets temperament.

If you have the space and time to foster a pet, contact us.
